Ashley joined Colts Neck Equine in 2006. She the business manager and IT specialist for the practice. She grew up in the Standardbred racing industry. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughters Sadie and Hailey, going for walks with her dogs Ridley.
Kim Califano joined Colts Neck Equine in 2004. She is the chief customer service representative and pharmacy manager also is in charge of all scheduling for the practice. She grew up in Brielle, NJ and has 5 brothers and sisters. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, husband and dog Butters.
Stephanie Jacobs joined Colts Neck Equine in November of 2016. She grew up in Brick, NJ with two sisters and a brother. She has always had a long standing passion for animals, but especially horses. After High School she went to Bethany College in West Virginia and graduated with an BS in Equine Science and minored in Biology and Chemistry. After Graduation she started as an Equine Technician primarily with Standardbreds. Having a Retired Standardbred, Cara, of her own since she was 16 that she competes in hunters, barrel racing and driving. Her love for the racing and the breed grew even more when she started working in the harness racing business in 2013 and is also a competitive Monte Rider, or more commonly known as Racing Under Saddle. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, teaching lessons, knitting, line dancing and singing.
Brielle joined Colts Neck Equine in August of 2021. Born in a non horsey family, Brielle has loved horses since birth and considers them her best friends! Brielle has been riding since she was 8, and trains primarily in the Hunter/jumper discipline. She has worked at several show barns and breeding farms throughout her career, but her true love is Standardbreds and harness racing! Brielle has worked for several trainers in harness racing and had the privilege of caring for some great horses like Great Vintage and Sunfire Blue Chip! She is also heavily involved in Standardbred aftercare, breaking 100s of Standardbreds to ride for post track careers, rescuing them from kill pens, and educating people on the retraining process through clinics and social media, as well as promoting the breed as riding and show horses! She runs her own Standardbred retraining and adoption program called Trot-Trot Standardbreds.
In her spare time, Brielle loves riding, driving, and competing her three Standardbreds, Witch Hazel, Storming Mist, and Luck N Roll K. She also is a huge history buff, and award winning artist and writer!
Sabrina joined Colts Neck Equine in September of 2021. She grew up in New York then moved to New Jersey in 2011. She has always had a love and passion for animals. When she was growing up she always wanted horses, they always looked to be the best animals. After living in New Jersey for a year, her family and her decided to save a horse from a kill pen. After doing that She was in love with them. She now has a farm with 2 horses, 2 miniature ponies and 2 pot belly pigs. She has been a vet tech for 4 years now and she's glad she decided to follow my dreams and work with animals. Since she works with animals, she decided to go back to school to get her veterinary technician license from Penn Foster College. She still currently in school but she's learning everyday from the amazing veterinarians she works with. Besides working with horses in her spare time she keeps busy doing hair and nails for family and friends as she's a licensed cosmetologist, cooking, hanging out with friends and riding my horses.
Melissa joined Colts Neck Equine in October of 2021. She grew up in Staten Island NY with her parents, 3 younger brothers, and many animals. She has always wanted to work with animals. From both her personal and professional life, she has learned the true essence of human-animal bonds. When she moved to New Jersey in 2008, she got her first horse and fell in love with it. This experience showed her a true bond and relationship with having a horse of her own, while seeing the unique personalities of each one. She married into a family which presented her the opportunity of learning about the standardbred racehorse breed and started to train them. In her spare time, she enjoys racing standardbred horses, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends. This job was a blessing which has allowed her to finally get the chance to be part of a team that is responsible for helping these gentle giants!
